Summer brings with it a freshness, a sort of renovation and a huge sense of vitality. Of course, there are new trends that start to subtly pop up, you keep coming across them when you're - innocently I'm sure - browsing online late at night (me right now). This year, for me it is the white shoe. White is most definitely the new black and I can't get enough of it. It's crisp, sleek and contrary to popular belief, very flattering especially with a tan - real or fake. I've already bought some white, seriously 80s loafers and the 'amazingly popular with fashion bloggers everywhere' Primark white chunky sandals but I'm still on the hunt for more more more.

I've picked my top five white shoes and believe me it was so so hard to whittle it down to just these guys. First up these insane gladiator sandals from Faith, they look so comfy while still oozing on trend fashions - I'd give them a miss on a day at the beach though, tan lines galore I would think. Speaking of the beach, a pair you definitely COULD wear there are the JuJu jelly shoes - I have a glittery pair at the moment as it reminded me of the ones I had when I was a 90s kid but I definitely need these white ones in my life.

The Miss KG sandals make me think of holiday evenings, you're out for drinks or going to dinner and need a little something extra - these are them, bejewelled in a refined non intrusive way. The River Island chunky sandals I would go for even on a little bit of a chilly day - it's England, we get them a lot - and team them with jeans and a light, loose knit. Last but not least are these Shellys shoe boot, a little bit of a school dap air about them but making them mega grown up with this huge heel. I can only stare at these on other girls feet in envy, being almost 6ft has it's downfalls!

I'd love to hear from you, what's your favourite style? Let me know!

Keep up to date with me via

  1. I'm after a white pair of shoes at the moment, I have my eye on a pair similar to the Shellys boot. If you are after a pair ASOS have a similar one reduced at the moment, I have the black version and they are so comfy! http://bit.ly/1nwFc1y x
