Before I start my rambling I should point out I really really really don't have much of a clue when it comes to beauty products - especially make up. You know when you hit a certain age, sort of 13/ 14 years old and you start experimenting with all these new fangled make up things? Well I never did that, from what I remember I don't think I properly took much notice of these 'girl things' until just before I started college. Tomboy alert! But, anyway here I am just wanting to share with you a few beauty basics that I use every single day.

Hay Max | Boots
Ok, so first up is my absolute saviour and best friend during this heatwave we're having (I'm not complaining about the weather, keep it coming please) and I only found out about it when my lovely, long suffering mother told me she'd seen it in her magazine. Anyone else who has hay fever listen up! It's looks like a lip balm, but please don't put it on your lips whack some on your nose instead - it works as a barrier to pollen getting up your nostrils and is more effective than anything else I've taken before. Plus, you can use it as much as you want.

Rimmel Instant Tan | Feel Unique
Yes, I've just been on holiday and yes, we're having a heatwave but I'm still as pale as a piece of paper. I've tried a few fake tans before but my problem is I don't like spending too much money on this sort of product. Tight arse, I know. Rimmel instant tan is fab at giving an even finish and so inexpensive it doesn't matter if you want to use it everyday.

Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Shampoo & Conditioner | Boots
Literally only just started using this, but so far so good. I normally go for the Aussie shampoo and conditioner but it's not on offer anymore (told you I was cheap) so I walked a little further down the aisle and found this one. My hair is quite oily and this seems to help it, plus it's Claudia Schiffer approved. What more do you need?

All in One BB Cream | The Body Shop
BB creams are just the best things to have ever been invented, ever aren't they? This is my favourite out of the pile I've tried. Like my hair my skin is pretty oily but this doesn't seem to make it look bad which I thought it would, it's great for those days when I can't be bothered with lots of slap on my face and need something simple.

Firm Hold Mousse | ASDA
I've featured ASDA, I know ASDA! Who'd have thought they'd have something worth talking about beauty wise but this mousse is amazing for giving a sleek finish. Both me and my mum have different hair types and we've both found it amazing to use. I use it when I'm not having a Morrocan hair kinda day - just when I'm at home really.

Morrocan Oil | Look Fantastic
Probably one of the most expensive out of any beauty/ hair/ make up thing I own - Morrocan Oil is the best thing to use on my hair. It doesn't make it greasy which I thought it would with my oily tendencies instead it smooths, sleeks and perfects it. I only use it when my hair is wet as when I used it on dry hair it didn't work as well.

Batiste Dry Shampoo (miniature) | Superdrug
My go-to beauty thing for any occasion: festival, holiday, party, wedding! I love love love Batiste dry shampoo and it loves my hair too. I think it tends to look better on blondes, it shows up more on the brunette variety like moi but it's still a fab invention and something I always have on me, just in case.

Clinique moisturising lotion | Clinique
Like a lot of other girlies I was excited to see Glamour magazine team up with Clinique to give us a free little gift in this months issue. I opted for the moisturiser purely because I already have a great mascara (Rimmel) and don't really wear anything on my lips. I knew it was going to be good, but this is amazing! So much so that I'm going to have to invest when I've finished my little pot - or buy a lot of copies of Glamour.

  1. I used to love Batiste and it used to be in my beauty essentials but I tried the Aussie dry shampoo and it's so much better!
