Fujifilm instax mini 8 | Argos

Hi lovely readers! I wanted to take a little bit of a different direction on the blog today and share with you one of my hobbies, yes I have one besides shopping. Now, I am in no way a 'professional' photographer, I am definitely a beginner/ amateur but it's something I really enjoy and have a lot of time for. In particular vintage-esque photos, so call me a hipster, whatever! I've done a post on my second hand polaroid camera that I purchased from welovepolaroid.com before (link here) but thought I would share with you my experience with this little 'new but old' polaroid, the fujifilm instax mini.

Mine is actually a number 7 in the series, so it is an older model, the one I've linked for you above is the newer version. Not much different I don't think, except the price, mine was only £49.99 when I purchased it from Argos and these ones are a little bit more. Bummer! So, I mentioned the 'new but old' factor just then and I think this is what I like (maybe even more) than my second hand camera I bought. The images are clearer, brighter and have a better tint to them. Plus if this one breaks I have a guarantee, whereas that older polaroid is mine no matter what, forever.

The instax mini does exactly what it says on the tin - it takes instant, smaller pictures in the polaroid format. When I say smaller, they're probably half the size of a normal polaroid, about the size of a credit card. For me, size doesn't matter *ahem* as long as the picture quality continues to be great with this camera, I'm happy. It takes batteries which the older ones don't do, but mine haven't given in yet and I've had it for over six months. Fab! If you're thinking about getting a polaroid I highly recommend it...only if you're actually going to use it though, they're not just for selfies!

Keep up to date with me via:
