About a year or so ago my friend embarked on a little adventure (understatement of the century) around Australia, she finally came back so I headed up to my other friends house in London to have  a huge catch up and some fun. Cue the 8am coach out of No Man's Land (Somerset) and me sitting awkwardly next to an old lady who thought it was normal to each a sandwich at 9am – but I made it to London and set off to find my long-lost traveller friend, Janie in Wimbledon so we could head to my other gal pal, Larissa's flat there. After a little chat we then headed off to South Kensington so I could, of course, take pretty photo's and we ended up having a tiny bit of culture/ play tourist in the Natural History Museum – Jesus, that mechanical Tyrannosaurus Rex is terrifying – before setting off again to find yet another friend (gosh, I'm so popular) who was coming up from Southampton. Larissa had a arranged a teddy bear tea party (read more about it here) which was lovely and featured yummy pastries too, and we got ready for a night out (not out, out) in Wimbledon.

Larissa had booked a table at this amazing Italian place called Alforno that she'd taken me to when I visited before and after some pasta, pizza and wine we surprised Janie with a birthday cake – no, it wasn't her birthday but we had missed two years worth while she was away so thought it was necessary…and funny! After a couple of cocktails we decided to call it a night and head home to watch the last bit of Eurovision/ I napped (hardcore 20-something over here). The next day we stayed in Wimbledon for a yummy brunch at Brew-Cafe where we all opted for the pancakes and various smoothies and milkshakes, definitely starting our day right. We then mooched around Covent Garden where I found the irresistible Laduree store and watched street artists do there thing. Before it was finally time to say goodbye and I hopped on my coach back to Somerset. I love having weekends away, as the majority of my friends are now scattered around the country, it's nice to meet in the middle and have some fun times with them every now and then.

Keep up to date with me via:
