I've never been a very big fan of subscription boxes, wait, let me rephrase that – I've never been a fan of subscription boxes…until now! Not Shabby Very Chic is a cute online shop thought up by the creative mind of Zoe, a mum of two who has always had a love for interior design. Which is exactly what this treatbox, as she calls it, is all about! Filled with lovely 'things' that you can incorporate into your home easily, it's a box that drops on your doorstep (yup, it fits through the letterbox so no heading to Royal Mail to pick it up when you're not in) and you instantly get excited to open it.

After cutting the cute rustic string and opening up the cardboard box I found a package wrapped up in the prettiest floral wrapping paper, sealed with a sticker that simply said 'thank you'. It seems as though these boxes (they're monthly, by the way and only cost £12.95) are curated with love and thought through all the way down to the way they are wrapped. As I opened the parcel more I discovered cute, pretty and endearing products that I was already planning in my mind to incorporate into my humble abode (i.e. single bedroom). From quoting metal signs to lavender bath salts and rustic hanging photo frames to bicycle paperclips, I will use everything in this box. This is the reason why I've never been a fan of beauty boxes, I'd never use the products to justify paying for one every month, a lifestyle box like this is just what I needed.

Zoe and Not Shabby Very Chic have changed my mind on subscription boxes and if you've always been on the fence about taking the plunge they'll probably change yours, too! Orders for October's box must be placed before 14th September, so GO GO GO!
