I've recently settled into a comfortable makeup routine that's been working really well for me, it hasn't caused me to flare up with unwanted spots nor has it worn my skin out. So I thought I'd share a few of my current favourites with you as they've all made a difference to my normal makeup routine and might give you some inspiration for your own…

First up is something I received for Christmas in my Benefit gift tin and it's the Hoola Bronzer that people have been raving about for months, nay years already but I'm slow on the uptake! It's a great way to get some contour going or to just give yourself a healthy (why no I haven't spent my Winter months in a cave deprived of sunlight) bronzed glow. Next is the Lash Sensational by Maybelline, I'm always a bit sceptical about cheap(er) mascara products and tend to just stick to my Benefit ones, however I received this from my blogger secret santa and have been loving it! It does exactly what it says on the tin and leaves your lashes super long and…sensational! W7 has been a favourite brand of mine ever since I picked up my first palette from them and the Cheeky Trio holds everything you need for your face – bronzer, highlighter and blusher and they're all super pigmented, too!

I suffer with quite oily skin so a matte powder is always a win in my books, I've used this L'oreal Infalliable Matte Powder so much I've finally hit pan ahhhhhh! but that just proves it's a great product, I'm even tempted to try out the foundation to go with it. A highlighter I've been obsessed with is again from Benefit, the High Beam highlighter at times can be trying (I've wasted a lot of product by just opening it up) but when you finally get used to it it gives you a great highlight and sits well on the skin. Another product that does this is the Clinique blusher I picked up a couple of months ago, it comes with a angle shaped brush so you can get the perfect sweep of product across the top of your cheek – it's also in such a pretty pink colour! Last but not least is something I've been using a lot when I go off to visit friends and that's my Maggs London makeup bag that my brother got me for Christmas! Everything from the size to the print is right up my street and I definitely wouldn't be without it now.

  1. Hoola is so gorgeous. I've never owned it, but I really need to rectify that.
