Bedroom Tour

When you move into a new place you want to make it look and feel as homely as possible - your own home away from home! I brought some things from home and my old place with me when I moved into my new room and didn't really have to buy anything new - apart from the odd bit of decor. Love interiors? This is the post for you...

Books and music are both big features in my room, when at university and when first starting my blog I began buying fashion and lifestyle books and the collection has just grown and grown since then! My records are a big thing as the majority of them are from my family members and hold memories and sentimental value for me - mixing the old with the new is a big thing for me. While I love vintage, I also love having new things and bringing the two together seems to work really well for me and my room aesthetic. Another big part of my room is, of course, the clothes and I was a little worried when moving into this place that I wouldn't have enough room for my many many many mounds of clothes, but the rail (which I didn't actually see when viewing the room) that's part of the shelving feature I decided put to good use! The rail now holds all my dresses as the wardrobe was so full but I really like the effect and impact it has on the room adding some more colour and a bit of personality.

The shelving in this place is something that made me decide I really wanted the room (along with the fact I had to be out of my previous house THAT week), having this much storage in London is something that isn't all that easy to come by. I've filled it with makeup, my record player, various plants and terrariums as well as other homely knick knacks that make the room feel a little more like my one at home - making living away from my family (and Daisy dog) that little bit more bearable!
