The only reason I like Valentine's Day is for the flowers...

I'm not one of those people who's all that fussed about celebrating Valentine's Day - and no, it's not because I'm single to the point of the hairs on my legs reaching the two inches mark, just so you know. But, when the lovely people over at Moonpig got in touch and said they wanted to send me a fresh bouquet of beautiful blooms on a day of my choosing to celebrate the day of love with them then of course I said yes. Ain't no girl out there who's going to refuse free flowers (especially when they're this pretty), is there?! This particular bouquet (like, seriously how bloody gorgeous) is called Devotion and includes five different kinds of roses, pretty Photinia and some greenery in the form of Salal.

"This light, feminine arrangement of delicate pink spray roses, crisp, star-shaped cream Asiatic lilies and lustrous, full-headed baby-pink roses has been lent a touch of seasonal elegance by the inclusion of pink waxflower, creating a full-bodied and lush bouquet."

My lovely flowers came to me by courier on the day I had requested and in a huge brown box - excitement ensued and the ripping of said box hastily happened to reveal this bouquet perfectly wrapped in layers of cellophane. When it comes to flowers I'm not that fussy but they have to have an array of colour to them and be plentiful and let me tell you this bouquet offers both these things. Pulling it out of the box made me seriously special, just at the sheer weight of the flowers I knew this was a bouquet where you get more bloom for your buck! Some of the buds were unopened but quickly opened up a few days and this is a bouquet that looks great in a long vase as the stems are about 48cm (woah). But sadly, all good things must come to an end and after 10 glorious days of enjoying my flowers it was finally time to bid farewell - I do think this is a good amount of time for flowers to last though and is longer than regular shop bought bouquets. So whether you're buying for a friend, family member or you're actually in a fully fledged grown-up relationship I can't recommend Moonpig enough!
