It happens all to often, I head over to ASOS on the hunt for just one thing then two hours have passed and I've got a 'save for later' that's overflowing and begging to be bought. With the warmer weather finally here (but for how long, we just don't know), I decided to pick up a few things to incorporate into my spring/ summer wardrobe. And, yes, there is a fair few embroidered bits in there...
So unless you've been hiding under a rock, embroidery is here to stay this spring and summer and, if you're putting florals on your feet then you're hitting the trend even more on the head! This pair from Raid on ASOS (which now seem to be out of stock, but I've linked a similar pair below) fit really well thought they slightly killed my feet the first time I wore them, and I've got the blisters to prove it. But now I've worn them in a bit more I know I'm going to be wearing them with a lot over the next few months.

When you just want to throw on a pair of jeans, trainers and a simple T-shirt these basic crew neck tee's from ASOS's own brand are here to save the day! I opted for grey and white as they seem to be the best colours for me but the brand also offers packs with black - they're just great basic pieces to have in your wardrobe and will last you.

I always feel drawn to light wash or bright blue jeans when it comes to wearing denim in the summer months so this cropped straight legged pair were always going to be a winner for me. I bought them in my normal size, but after trying to get them over my bum for about half an hour I gave in and reordered them in the next size up...so bear that in mind, gals! The size up fits me really well and this pair works great with loafers or trainers and the basic T-shirts I picked up.

Whilst it's time to bid farewell to the winter coat you've been wearing for the past six months, it's not quite time so say au revoir to wearing a jacket just yet - but it IS time to wear a more light weight version. I knew I wanted a new leather jacket but I wasn't sure on which colour to go for, what fit or whether I wanted real or fake. In the end (and after nearly buying a seriously expensive one from All Saints) I went for this one from Noisy May and I absolutely love it! The hardware is a dull silver so it's not too in your face and the it fits really well - even my orang-utan arms are completely covered - and I like the quilted detailing on the shoulder and wide collar.

Slogan tops are EVERYWHERE so if you haven't picked one up yet definitely take a look on ASOS as they have a huge variety. At just £12, this one is perfect for a Friday(yay) at work when it hits 6pm and it's time to get the Prosecco in with the girls or a casual look on a Saturday night that you can wear with heeled boots and a mini skirt. It's simple but you know all eyes are going to be reading your T-shirt all night...

This dress made me think of Pretty Woman when I first saw it on the ASOS site, you know the dress I'm talking about right? When she's at the races, yup - you got it! There's a lot of different detailing going on with this piece but it doesn't seem to overwhelm the look - it has ruched detailing over the bust, it ties up at the back and has pretty cut outs to the side. I'm currently still wearing it with tights and boots (it ain't that warm yet) but think it'll look great with the embroidered loafers I picked up for a simple pattern clash.

You guys are either gonna love or absolutely hate this bag - the slightly garish pink and huge embroidered pattern could be a bit too much for some people, but not me! I wore this for the first time out and about recently with a floral top, blue jeans, leather jacker and loafers and loved the simple look with the pop of pink on my shoulder. It really is a great piece for spring and now one of my favourite bags!
